What’s a few days between friends?

The Glen Association Championship Show had, for the first time, a breed person officiating. Jane Withers had her first Glen of Imaal Terrier back in 1981 yet was only awarding Challenge Certificates for the first time; a sign that everything comes to those who wait! Best In Show was awarded to Ch/Bel Ch Brockland Brayhead Lad with Multi Ch Abberann Homer in Reserve. Ch/Ir Ch Abberann Ennya took the honours in the bitches with Ch Jeonty Fern Grass Reserve.

For the pedigree buffs it was an interesting piece of judging. Homer and Ennya (brother and sister) are from a half brother/sister mating with the common parent being Jeonty Tinker Boy Murphy at Brockland. Murphy was by Gingers Fashion By Malsville, a dog imported from Germany. Barney and Fern are closely related as their respective sires are brothers-both being great grandsons of “Terence” and their respective dams have him as a sire and a grandsire.¬†Even the Best Veteran, Brockland Merrylegs For Bregorrey, fits the family as she is sister to the dam of Barney (Brayhead Lad) so lists Terence as her daddio!
