The updated lists – of Glen of Imaal Terrier (DNA Tested) Clears and Carriers – are now on the KC website, dated April 2011:
According to records posted by EFG and GOITA, there are still 10 Glens, who were DNA tested before the establishment of a DNA scheme (October 2010), whose results have not yet been submitted to the Kennel Club for inclusion on the database:
2 of these are “Hereditary Clear” pups.
The other 8 comprise: 2 Clear bitches : 2 Carrier bitches : 1 Clear dog : 3 Carrier dogs
If your Glen has been DNA tested but its results are not on the Kennel Club lists above, you can send a COPY of the test certificate to:
HEALTH & BREEDER SERVICES DEPARTMENT, THE KENNEL CLUB, 1 – 5 CLARGES STREET, PICCADILLY, LONDON W1J 8AB
If you want the result on your Glen’s registration certificate, you will need to send the ORIGINAL certificate to the KC, and they will then issue you with a new one that includes the DNA result.
