Southern Counties closes today

It’s the first time Southern Counties have ever scheduled Glen of Imaal Terriers and the entries close today. Judged for the breed is Johan Juslin (Finland) and Terrier day is June 1st

The weekend saw……

…..WELKS in the UK and Lahti International Show in Finland.

At WELKS Glen of Imaal Terrier judge Stephen Holmes gave Best of Breed to Romainville Billy Wizz and BOS to Romainville Jean jeanie whilst at Lahti BOB went to Gleann Uaid MacDonald and BOS to Gleann Una Noonan. Congratulations

Health Pages

If anybody tries to access the Glen of Imaal Terrier health pages through its own domain, via any search engine that has anything at all to do with Google, they will receive a message that there is malware present on the site. THIS INFORMATION IS WRONG.

The site was hacked back in February and was professionally cleaned of all virus and malware. Google was made aware of this, checked the site out, and finally removed the warning for www.glenofimaalterrier.uk.com. They did not remove it for glenofimaalhealth.co.uk even though it is a sub-site (and part of) uk.com. Google are aware of this and say they check all sites within a 90 day period (maximum) so as the malware was picked up on February 20^th it could possibly be as late as mid May before the warning is removed by them.

All of the above site is absolutely fine but if still unsure, due to the Google warning, access to the health pages can be done via www.glenofimaalterrier.uk.com/healthindex.html  and it will take you straight to the same place!

Now National Terrier is over….

…thoughts turn to the summer and the EFG Companion Show.

It will be held on Saturday July 13th and the two judges will be Max King (Pedigree) and Jane Withers (Fun). There will be eye testing by Peter Bedford and appointments are necessary, Sheila ceskyterrier@ymail.com is the lady to contact if you want an appointment.

It’s waaay into April

Nobody travels overly much in the winter but now Spring is finally here Glen of Imaal Terrier people (and their dogs) will be getting into their cars again. Even though Glens generally have bladders that will put camels to shame sometimes you just have to stop and it is rather useful to know where there are places you can walk your dog

It had to happen (unfortunately)

As many Rescue sites now advertise dogs as a “pick up pedigree breed/cross” when the dog obvious bears no resemblance to the pedigree mentioned in the title it was only a matter of time before this happened. You have to support ingenuity but OH DEAR!!

Bath and Three Counties (postal) entries close tomorrow. At Bath Terrier day is Friday 24 May and Paul Eardley will be doing the Glen of Imaal Terriers whilst at 3 Counties (terrier Day Thursday June 6) Frank kane is the man in charge of Glens.
