The Glen of Imaal Terrier 2014 health survey is now into its third week and we have received 53 responses, so far. If you have not yet completed the survey, there is a “preview” on the survey page … (link at the bottom of this post) … so that you can familiarise yourself with the type of questions asked, and the format of the survey.
We would appreciate the help of breeders, please, to spread the word about this survey. If you are still in contact with any of your puppy people, please do send them details. Thank you!
We draw your attention to the following:
NB. There is a minor “logic blip” on the Your Glen’s details (UK and non-UK) pages. If you are completing the survey for a Glen that has sadly died, please fill in the age at which your Glen died for Q.15 (UK) or Q.28 (non-UK).
If you would like to be involved in the future monitoring of or research into any health issues highlighted by this survey, then please do provide your contact details in the “Permissions” section at the end of the survey. Research projects not only require dogs affected with a particular condition (“cases”) but also dogs that are clear of that condition (“controls”), so even if your Glen is fit and healthy, please do consider putting your name forward. Thank you!
All information submitted via this health survey remains confidential. Our final report will not will not disclose the identity of individual dogs or owners. If any research projects are initiated, arising from this survey, we will only contact respondents who have expressed that they are happy to participate in future health research and who have provided contact details.
The charts below provide a little bit of feedback from the survey (opens as pdf. document) to date … and illustrate where the survey responses have come from … (the UK and seven other countries) … and the numbers of Glens with reported health conditions.
Thank you to everyone who has contributed to the survey. We look forward to receiving many more responses!
