Two days of results in a week but with Westminster Dog Show taking place early in the week it would be a shame to leave it until next Monday. Glen of Imaal Terriers were second in the ring with judge David Kirkland officiating. BOB was awarded to GCH Finnabair Ardmore Ned, fresh from THREE Best In Shows, with Opposite to Ch Ber-D-Mar’s My Dream Of You Aoife. GCH Rainbow Springs Wicklow’s Warrior Of Ber -D-Mar and GCH Finnabair Song O’My Heart being taking the Select ribbons. Ber-D-Mar Sweet William O’Shea got the nod for Best of Winners. What a fabulous few days for “Team Ned” and a fascinating result for pedigree buffs
Whether you agree with the placings of a judge or not is always up for debate whatever breed you are in but when you can see exactly what they are doing it is a different matter. Judge Kirkland placed a brother and sister BOB and Select Bitch. The Best Opposite was the daughter of another litter sister and the Best of Winners was a half sibling from the same bitch……the sire being the Select Dog. Just to finish it all of the judge had previously performed at Westminster 2007 where he awarded BOB to the litter brother of the dam of this year’s BOB!!

We’ve fallen in love with your Finnabair. We have a Kuvasz named Finnbarr and would love to know if the two breeds would tolerate each other. Also my daughter is renting an apartment in Washington DC can this breed tolerate apartment living with proper exercise and daily walks?
Hopefully one of the USA Glen people will help you and you’ll be able to meet a Glen in person

My god those dogs have got some long fancy names?
Might be just me. But im sure Glen’s look happier in the field rather than a ring. Ponies any one?
