Crufts results and first pictures

Crufts is the place to meet people! Glen of Imaal Terrier people from around the world had a brilliant time with “it must be x number of years since we….” Obviously all memories were at fault because we are far too young to have known each other for such a long time!

We weren’t in the ring as late as sometimes so all in all not a bad day; it was actually a very good one. It was particularly excellent for Kathy & Jean as judge Jane Withers chose their animals for the big green cards.

  1. Well done to everyone and well done to Jean & Jane on getting back up after the BOB photos.

The “getting a name past the KC award” has to go to Romainville Dilli Gaf.

    • There are rules & conventions for choosing a name and this note at the bottom;- The Kennel Club reserves the right to refuse any name, which it considers inappropriate or offensive. The Kennel Club retains the right to request a fresh name for any puppy after the registration has been accepted, in the event of a complaint being lodged with the Kennel Club which is upheld.
Some of the names that have slipped through over the years include Master Bates, Trouser Snake, Smack Ed. hence getting past the KC.Not all the people working there are up on acronyms or slang.

  2. Congrats to all the winners. Never got to see any judging, discover dogs was so busy

  3. I had a wonderful time. It was totally worth the trip from Chicago. Everyone was lovely, friendly and helpful. Oscar (Gr CH/ ICh Abberann Torcan) and I definitely give Crufts a big thumbs up!! Thanks to all of you.

  4. the name was chosen by his prospective owner, everyone knows i am computer illiterate, but i know what it means now!!! even my 17 year old grandson didn’t know what it meant.
