Lots of people write Crufts into their planners, the air and ferry fares are still reasonably cheap and a few days can be made of the journey so a wonderful early year break. When you are bringing a dog with you those two words (reasonably cheap) don’t occur. This year Glen of Imaal Terriers had their furthest travelled exhibitor with Theresa and Oscar appearing on the benches, Chicago to Birmingham UK. Also Annette drove down/across with Eamond so the journey, in time, from Sweden must have taken nearly as long the American jaunt. For the first time though there was actually an American bred Glen present, both Oscar and Eamond were doing roots, with Sky taking a very creditable fourth in Limit at only 15 months old.
It was great to see all international visitors and hope the journeys weren’t too traumatic!

It was well worth the trip for both of us. So many lovely glens and glen enthusiasts. We were treated so wonderfully. Special thanks to Ann, Nick and Susan White who escorted us all over including the ferry (my first) and to Liz Gay for the great grooming tips! It couldn’t have been nicer and we got home safe and sound off to another show this weekend with Oscar and 3 of his puppies!
