Another week and another Best In Show

Wow, Glen of Imaal Terriers are doing well at the moment. At The French Terrier Club Show Pajantick Razamataz took Best of Breed and then Best In Show. Well done indeed. The European Winners was in Poland this year and Glens attended from Austria, Denmark, England, Finland, Germany & Poland. Cairdiulacht Aoife NicAlainna from Austria was Best Of Breed with Finn Glenn Glen Limited Edition from Poland was Best Opposite. Hammersmolles Star Hercules was the Best Junior and Spirit of Ireland Beautiful was the Best Veteran. In Finland Lahti puppy show saw Gleann Kooky Kanye take Best of Breed with BOS to Gleann Kinda Kim K. At Birmingham Gundog & Terrier Jeonty Letty Be Magic was BOB.

Over in America Keadeen’s Sir Emmet Mingus Glas was in Illinois for the Prarieland Classic and had a very nice trip. Best of Breed at Champaign Illinois KC, Mattoon KC & Sandemac with a Gp3 at Champaign. Opposite To him was Kilkenny’s Across The Universe to Setanta, Abberann Learning To Fly at Glendalough and Abberann Black Velvet Band by Galore. He was Best Opposite though at Illinois Capitol KC when Black Velvet Band took the BOB ribbon for the ladies

Ginny (and Monique for writing) regularly keeps the “brains” section running. “Ginny qualified with a 1st place in Open Jumpers Preferred at the AKC Agility trial at Paws n Effect in CT. Then she had a perfect run, again 1st place, in the Novice Standard Preferred class for her 3rd Q and her NAP title! Woohoo! It’s been a couple of good agility w/ends for team Ginny!”

Discover Dogs was in London and, as always, the enthusiasts who man these booths, whatever part of the world they are in deserve our thanks. Bella, Candy, Dylan, Leia & Mutley flew the flag proudly in front of hundreds of people. Many thanks to them and their people!

Great weekend folks.

Count them…….seven plus two!

Glen of Imaal Terriers aren’t a breed that feature over much in Group top placings but the round up this week brings in an incredible seven!

Arcadia Florida saw a cluster and Finnabair Double D Friend of a Friend getting Best of Breed on all four days plus Groups 2, 3 & 4. Best opposite to him was Finnabair Cattskill Goldie. Keadeen’s Blue Boy for Bluesette, on his way home back to the north-west, stopped over in Idaho for two Best of Breeds at Lizard Butte Kennel Club & two at Idaho Capital City Kennel Club where he picked up a OHG3 and OHG2. Mad River Valley KC saw another group placement for Glens when Kilkenny’s Middleton of Irish Spirit took OHG4. In New York state Daulton’s Princess C Hatteras took a couple of Best of Breeds and clocked up number seven group placement for Glens with a OHG2.

Jyvaskyla (Finland) was a Best of Breed for Highlander’s Dream Casper with Pearytail Candy McCoy Best Bitch on day 1 & day 2 was a win for Gleann Bigwig. In Germany it was the Bundessieger weekend and big success for the Juniors with both the National and International shows having the same results, Best of Breed Gleann Holly at Spirit of Ireland with Jeonty Junior Fire & Ice Best Dog.

The big road trip over to Montgomery & back (four weeks in total) for the Dairiki boys wasn’t just for exhibition ribbons as Jeff writes “This weekend in Boise Quinn passed four of four master runs at the Valley Barn Hunt trials, earning his RATCHX title (as well as passing two of two crazy 8 runs, earning his CZ8B title.) Ciarán passed both of his master runs yesterday, earning high in class in both.

When you look at the gallery you’ll see a picture that doesn’t seem to fit. It’s Keadeen Second Star to the Right in the Group ring at Montgomery last week, the photograph arrived too late. Even though the top says seven group placements Glens probably had eight as the news has only come in unofficially about one of them……hint…hint if you haven’t sent. Here it is. Welcome to a new name for the weekend round up, Abberann Black Velvet Band by Galore who took 2 Best of Breeds and OHG1 & 2 in Oklahoma so it’s actually a tremendous NINE group placements!!!!!

Brilliant weekend everybody
