It’s Darlington Championship Show this coming weekend and Terrier day is the Friday. Glen of Imaal Terriers are in first, and the forecast is decent, so the EFG would like to invite anybody and everybody to a bring and share lunch. Glen people use their benches so why not join us there and have a pork pie or a piece of cake or a sandwich or anything else that anybody may bring?

Darlington Entries closing
Entries for Darlington Championship Dog Show close today. The show IS STILL two weeks (September 17-19) before Driffield which closed last week. Even though today is the postal entry closing date it makes sense to do it if you an online enterer as Darlington is one of the “price increasers”. It always costs more to enter online but Darlington increase it again if you leave it until the final day. They also do a very interesting car park price shuffle; it is £3.00 if prepaid, £5 on the day and £10 “in an adjacent field” so if you don’t order a car park pass do remember that there is a £5 rate available. Glen of Imaal Terriers may have popular judge Paul Eardley officiating but 14 classes is certainly mindboggling!
Darlington Results
Darlington Championship Dog Show took place over the weekend and a new Glen of Imaal Terrier Champion was crowned! Barney added another Challenge Certificate to his belt and so became Ch/Bel Ch Brockland Brayhead Lad. Congratulations to Ruth Welch & Joe will be “busting a gut” with pride. Best Bitch was a new one to top honours with Muffin, Jeonty Maybe Daysee (Ch/NL Ch/Bel Ch Jeonty Wannabe Buster-Ch Jeonty Daisy Downut), Baldock getting the nod at 16 months old. Darlington only has one CC on offer and that went to Barney so Muffin picked up the Reserve CC over Fynn Harley who was Reserve Best Dog.
