And last weekend saw…

Darlington Championship Show, the Midland Game FairĀ and the Glen of Imaal Terrier Gathering in America.

Darlington saw judge Paul Eardley (now he is half a century do we have to stop calling him a nice lad?) give Best of Breed to Ch Brockland Brayhead Lad and Best Bitch to sister Brockland Belle Bregorrey. Darlington only has one CC so Tierney (Belle) was awarded the Reserve CC. A strange system but the Kennel Club does excell in them. The two Reserve Best of Sexes were Johnny Be Good at Romainville and Jeonty Maybee Daysee. Romainville Brannigan at Brockland was Best Puppy.

The Midland Game Fair at Weston Park celebrates everything rural and over the last few years Glen of Imaal Terriers have been and flown the flag as….what would you like? A British Heritage Breed, a working terrier that most people have never heard of, a family companion, the Glen does them all and this year was no different.

The Glen Gathering is always well supported and this year was no exception. Dr Acland was present to speak about his recent discovery of the gene mutation the causes PRA in Glens and to hold a DNA clinic.
