1)GCH CH Emerald Isle’s Keely With Daulton

2)GCH CH Finnabair Ardmore Ned

3)GCH CH Daulton’s Emerald Green

4)GCH CH Abberann Torcan

5)GCH CH Rainbow Springs Wicklow’s Warrior Of Ber -D-Mar

An interesting selection for judge Ron Menaker and others may get through of course.

Catching up with the news.

Glen of Imaal Terrier folk continue to get out and about. The Glen Association Open Show, judged by Nicki Montford, saw Romainville Rock On Ruby (Daughter of Billy Whizz BIS at the EFG Open Show) getting the applause for Best In Show with Kirikee Celtic Warrior Best Dog. Best Puppy, at his first show, Kingcottage Boogie on Basil and Best Veteran to Donvaleset Rebus.

At Riihimäki All Breed Show BOB was Rosears Humpty Dumpty and BOS Pearytail Bonnie B Goode with Bilbo’s Searlet taking Best Puppy. What a great weekend for GCH Abberann Torcan as he continues to rack up the group placements with a Group 2 and 4 at Wheaton.  His son Daulton’s Wild Night of Galore earned his AKC championship title with Winner’s Dog and Best of Winners at the Illinois show. These follow on a couple of back to back Group 4s.

Some late breaking news to add from the McKinley KC show held in Canton, Ohio yesterday, where Bronze Grand Champion Emerald Isle’s Keely with Daulton (Keely) was awarded a Terrier Group 4 under Judge Colonel Joe B. Purkhiser; breed judge was Mrs. Dennis (Mary Lou) Kniola. It was her 9th group placement under 9 different judges. Keely also went Owner-Handler Group 1 under Judge Kniola. Keely was handled by co-breeder, co-owner Jody Daulton. Ann Marie Pember is also co-breeder and other co-owners are Pam Estes and my wife Sheila Beyer Thomas and myself (Terry).

Kate Flack sends the following:Three day show held at the Western Washington Fairgrounds in Puyallup Washington: Friday, June 5th’s Western Washington All Terrier Show: BOB to KEADEEN’S BLUE BOY FOR BLUESETTE (Aka Ciaran). Bred by A Tighe, J Kindall, and shown by co-owner Jeff Dairiki. Saturday June 6 and Sunday June 7, the Puyallup/Tacoma KC Cluster. Judges Mariano Gatica Gomez and Merle Taylor awarded BOB both days to KEADEEN’S SIR EMMET MINGUS GLAS, (call name Emmet), also bred by Tighe & Kindall, and shown by co-owner Kate Flack.I didn’t credit the judge (Christine Erickson) on Friday as giving BOB to Jeff because well, Friday was complicated. She awarded BOB to me but I was DQ’d. When I registered online I checked the wrong class. I walked into the ring competing with Em as a 9-12 month puppy and then was awarded BOB.I realized my mistake, reported to the Superintendent, gave the ribbons to Jeff and was disqualified. Jeff won’t show up as BOB until the AKC notes the birthdate on my dog but, he will eventually. NOTE TO SELF: Read the confirmation letters that I receive in the mail carefully …… just to make sure I didn’t make an online error. A mistake in class can be corrected by the Superintendent until you step foot in the ring. Feel free to publish the Note to Self – maybe my mistake will keep someone else from making the error.

Congratulations to everybody and particular thanks to Kate for sharing her mistake; do check your entry forms.

Let’s do catch up!

Many Glen of Imaal Terrier people may look on January and February as the relaxing months of the year but it isn’t for one team. Griffin and Kelli have taken four (yes 4!!) Working titles already this year. Nosework 1, Junior Earthdog, Novice Jumpers Preferred and Barn Hunt Novice makes for one seriously impressive haul! Kennel mate Winston has also been adding to his tally with a Senior Barn Hunt title and also Nose work 1. What a credit to the breed Kelli makes these two. Laura Trainor and Niamh have also been impressing at the Wesminster Agility Championships which are held on the run up to the “showring stuff”. Have a look how their qualifying run went

At Turku International Show in Finland BOB was Marfidal Koitiva Vaara with BOS was Rosears Humpty Dumpty. The Danish International Show at Fredericia saw McCormac Setna Sithbacc take the BOB rosette home. At the Tallin 2015 Winter Cup siblings Glenrosedale Ardal Ridire Ain Ri and Glenrosedale Aoibheann Nion Ros took home the Estonian titles.

GCH Finnabair Ardmore Ned has been “training” for Westminster with a remarkable TWO Best In Shows at Rocky Mountain Terrier Club and Colorado KC plus a Reserve Best In Show at Plum Creek Kennel Club. GCH Emerald Isle’s Keely with Daulton took a Group 2 at Livonia and CH Emerald Isle’s Wild Irish Rose got made up at the West Washington Cluster giving breeder Anne Marie Pember four AKC Champions to her name so qualification for the AKC Breeder of Merit award. Glentyrs Lady Isabelle at Castlerock received the BOB rosette at Lakeland Winter Haven Kennel Club and Keadeen’s Blue Boy For Bluesette took two Best of Breeds at the aforementioned Washington Cluster.

Best of Breed at West Midlands Terrier was Pajantick Star Trooper and at Sporting Terrier of Yorkshire Ahard Just in Thyme was BOB and BP. If any emails have been misplaced during the winter break do send them again and they will (of course) be included and very soon as this week is Westminster. Yes, the AKC biggie begins today and Terriers are on Tuesday but if you need to get your eye in and make sure the streaming is being picked up live breed judging can be seen from this afternoon. Hopefully Wednesday will see the results and photographs on here…hint…hint

Wow, everybody was busy!

Glen of Imaal Terrier people had a very busy weekend. At Welsh Kennel Club BOB was awarded to Romainville Ellie with the dog ticket going to Kirikee Ronan O’Gara and thus making him a Champion!! The two reserves were Young May Moon & Romainville Billy Whizz with Bonny Nell getting Best Puppy. Over in Finland Gleann Rabarber Drom was Best of Breed & Best veteran at Raisio. In Denmark at the Danish Terrier Show Rosears Humpty Dumpty was Best of Breed, became a Danish Champion & then got the nod for Reserve Best In Show! Clonmel in Ireland was a double for brother & sister Abberann Phelan & Dervla with Phelan going BOB.

In American Glentyrs Lady Isabelle at Castlerock was BOB at Greater Hickory Kennel Club (what a great name) and GCH Emerald Isle Keely with Daulton took two Group 4s in Ohio. Whilst all the showing was going on Laura Trainor was out Barn Hunting with Kylee & Niamh and both saw qualifiers in Novice.

Well done to everybody!

Quieter week….

In America McKinley KC had back to back shows and BOB Glen of Imaal Terrier both days was GCH Emerald Isle’s Keely with Daulton who went on to take a group 4 one of the days. In the UK BOB at 3 Counties was Romainville Billy Wizz.

The Glen Association Open Show was smiled on by the Weather Gods. Best In Show (and Best Veteran) was Donvaleset Rebus with Best Puppy going Golden Spur, a 6 month baby at his first show. My catalogue was needed elsewhere so hopefully somebody can send the name of the Best Bitch and the 2 Reserves. Thanks to Ann Quinn they can now be filled in. Best Bitch was Young May Moon, Reserve Dog Donvaleset Liffy and Reserve Best Bitch Ch Jeonty Maybe Daysee

Well done all.

Donvaleset Rebus, Young May Moon , Golden Spur
