The Game Fair lives!

Last year the Country Landowners Association announced they would be no longer running the Game Fair due to costs and lack of revenue; the planned 2016 event at Ragley Hall would be cancelled. Like Bond it has became a case of never say never again as the 2016 Game Fair lives and it is still at Ragley Hall, Staffordshire. A chance to again celebrate The Countryside

This year though rather than just the CLA Game Fair there is a host of sponsors, clubs and associations (one of which is the Kennel Club) helping out in the funding. Take a look online and maybe mark the diary for 29-31st July

CLA Game Fair 2011

The Game Fair moves to Oxfordshire this year and takes place July 22-24 at Blenheim Palace. Even if you think you will have no interest in outdoor sports this is an event you should visit at least once in your life; you won’t regret it. If you do go be sure to wander in to the Kennel Club zone and say hello to the Glen of Imaal Terriers-we get everywhere!

Interesting mix but what criteria?

The terrier tent at the Game Fair was a very interesting mix but nobody seemed to know what it was. There were Glen of Imaals, Sealyhams, Smooth Fox, Skyes, Dandie Dinmonts, Manchester, Irish & Norwich so the first reaction was the “so-called” Vulnerables but where was the Kerry, Lakeland, Welsh and Mini Bull? It wasn’t working terriers either. Does anybody know?
