In Scandinavia the Winners Shows finish off the showing year. Denmark was first up and Best of Breed Glen of Imaal Terrier was Gleann Una Noonan with BOS being awarded to Organ with Una Noonan going on to take Group 4! At the Nord Winners BOB Gleann Una Noonan and BOS Abberann Fagan.
Only two weeks until Christmas but some dedicated Glen of Imaal Terrier owners are still out in the show ring. In the Netherlands Laiquendi’s Jillian Yanna Maywen, born 01-07-2009 enjoys showing and received 1 Excellent/CAC/CACIB/ BOB at Wijchen. After 7 hours of waiting she had to join the Terrier group Ring of Honour in which she showed how a Glen can also (mis)behave. She even kissed judge Mr. Th. v.d. Horst on the forehead! Luckily Mr. Van der Horst could appreciate Glen-affection
At the Nordic Winners in Sweden the very successful Gleann brother & sister, Ode & Organ, added more awards to their tally with BOB & BOS.
At the Estonian Terrier Specialty Best of Breed Glen was Gleann Una Noonan at only 10 months old. The Estonian Winners saw Ch Gleann Organ take Best of Breed and Ch Gleann Queen Size Girl take Best Opposite which now means she can add Estonian Champion to her name. As it is a Winners Show they also award Junior titles and these went to Abberann Fagan and Gleann Una Noonan.
At Boston Premier Show Jeonty Wannabe Bauer was Best AVNSC and then won the Terrier Group-a rare occurence in the UK. The Glen of Imaal Terrier Association Open Show had excellent weather so judging took place outside. Nick and Ann White had a worthwhile trip over from Ireland with Best In Show being awarded to Ch Abberann Conan and his sister Ir Ch Abberann Eilish at Kirikee Best Bitch. Best Puppy was Romainville Aoife and Best Veteran Kirikee Just Follow Seamus.
Champion Coleraine’s Mandalay Royalty (Curry) took the record for Glen of Imaal Terrier number one group placements in the USA with another Gp1 and Gp2 over the weekend. In Finland Gleann Organ (Gleann Catmandoo-Marfidal Medb Gleann) added another Best of Breed and so becomes an International Champion. The Glen Association here had a funday; no details yet but hopefully it didn’t rain!
