We’re still showing…

It’s calmed down a bit before the big Scandinavian Winner Shows and the Eukanuba National Championships in Florida but some Glen of Imaal Terrier people are still out and about. A result that came in too late for last week were successes Thanksgiving Weekend at Holyoke KC with a OHG4 for Keadeen’s Due Diligence with Liberty, a BBE G2 for Liberty’s Confidence and a 4-6 month puppy Group 2 for Liberty’s Serenity.  LIberty’s Amity took a 4-6 month puppy group 4 at Springfield Kennel Club. Greater Clark County KC also features the 4-6 month puppy class and out of the 11 in the Terrier Group 6 were Glens! Keadeen’s Luck Be A Lady was 2nd in the Group and BOB. Brother Keadeen’s By Happy Chance was Best Opposite.

It was 2 days of shows in Germany with Billy Tow vom Au Deich taking BOB and Best Veteran on Saturday with My Dear Fellow Brunhilde de CoCo Best Bitch. On Sunday Hadberg Xzibit took Best of Breed with McJakes Aivy Best Bitch.

The “brains” side was having a great weekend. Jeff Dairiki writes “Ciarán refused to tunnel until he had found all three of his rats, then tunneled all on his own. Classy way to earn your RATCHX3, a great time this weekend at Valley Dog Sports’ new digs!” Kelli Whitfield also sends news of her two boys “3 new AKC scent work titles for Winston (handled by Mark’s niece) novice containers, Novice interiors and novice buried hides! Plus 2 advanced Q’s in containers. Also two new titles for Griffin – Novice containers and novice buried hides. This is a new sport for AKC!”

Congratulations everybody!

It’s October….

…and still Glen of Imaal Terrier people continue on.

A weekend of shows in the Ukraine saw Rosears Master of the House take Best of Breed both days with Caireann Chasdubh take Best Opposite one day and Gleann Elite Ellie the other. In Finland the Loviisa Puppy Show was a triumph for Gleann Indico Indy as she was waved to Group 2. Staing in Europe, and this time Germany. Rostock had a CAC and a CACIB show. Hadberg Xzibit was triumphant both days and My Dear Fellow Alwine de CoCo was Best Bitch one day and My Dear Fellow Beltaine de CoCo the other.

As it’s the run up to the Montgomery Cluster Glen of Imaal people from all over the States are travelling east which is giving some nice entries. At Terrier Club of Michigan Daulton’s Caoimhe of Pine Meadow took Best of Breed with Keadeen’s Sir Emmet Mingus Glas Best Dog. Monroe Kennel Club was a BOB (and OHG4) for Keadeen’s Blue Boy for Bluesette with Best Bitch going to Caoimhe of Pine Meadow and on day 2 Keadeen Sir Emmet Mingus Glas took the honours with Kilkenny’s Across The Universe at Setanta

Word of how the Glen of Imaal booth had gone on at Malvern Autumn Show World of Animals arrived too late for last week’s round up but the word was one of “success” in all quarters. If anybody would like to do their bit at the National Pet Show at the NEC on November 4-5 Tony Hadley, via email or telephone 07577582182 would love to hear from you. Who knows you may get to see Supervet himself!

The breed brains were operating in Ginny as Monique reports “Ginny qualified in 2 AKC Fast CAT trials (100 yard dash) on Saturday in New Jersey and then 5 of 8 Novice odor classes at the first New England AKC Scent Work trials in New Hampshire on Sunday”

Great weekend everybody!!
