Montgomery again & a bit of news

Dermot had a great Montgomery Cluster with 3 Glen of Imaal Terrier Best of Breeds so it is nice to have a photograph of him there

The weekend before they flew to America Diva came down with a pyometra so it was a worrying time for them whilst out there. Hopefully Diva, excellently nursed by daughter Susan, will be fine.

Remember Homer being THE stamp dog for the European Winners Dog Show in May? Well here he is & looking very handsome. The stamp will be issued on May 21st and full details can be found here

Glen of Imaal Terriers have appeared on stamps before but is Homer the first living (and identified) Glen to do so?

Birmingham….another double!

Has a new trend begun for 2009 and Glen of Imaal Terriers at Championship Shows? National Terrier saw the Jeonty double and Birmingham National had an Abberann one. Brother and Sister Homer and Enya, or to be formal Multi Ch. Abberann Conan and Ir Ch Abberann Enya, took the dog and bitch ticket with the Reserves going to Belgian Champion Brockland Brayhead Lad and Romainville Miss Moneypenny.

Is Homer to be a limited edition?

Word comes out that the Irish Postal Service will be releasing a limited stamp edition to celebrate the Irish Kennel Club hosting the European Dog Show. Obviously the theme will be Irish Dogs so that means there will be a Glen of Imaal Terrier. Will Homer now be adding model to his CV?
