Out and about….

The Irish Sporting Glen of Imaal Terrier Club held its show this past weekend and it was enjoyed by everybody. We have photographs, we have the Best Bitch (Bailielands Leanbh Orga) but don’t have Best In Show! Today (Sept 22) we have it-Best Dog and BIS was Scholsey who also won the racing. Hopefully somebody will fill the breeding in and send a photograph

At Northern Counties Sporting Terrier Best of Breed was Kirikee Ronan O’Gara and over in Finland (Porvoo) Best of Breed was Jeonty Flying Finnair and Best Opposite Rosears A Blooming Bud. Have a look at the photograph below and you’ll see that the dogs were judged in fine weather but for the bitches the heavens opened and the rain poured down

It’s a busy month ahead

September is a busy month on the International Glen of Imaal Terrier scene. First up, on September 11th at “Donoughmore Hall”, Castleruddery, Glen Of Imaal, Co. Wicklow is the Club Show of the Irish Sporting Glen Club judged by Stephen Holmes. Full details are available here.

It’s on Sunday!

The Irish Sporting Glen of Imaal Terrier Club show is this Sunday (12th) in the Glen of Imaal and they extend a warm welcome to everybody to attend. The secretary would like to remind everybody of a grooming demonstration in the morning and the DNA clinic in the afternoon. This begins at 2.00pm and please remember your dog’s registration papers! and THE news of this week is…..

Whilst we were a bit involved with the FUNd Raising event the Irish Sporting Glen of Imaal Terrier Club received some very nice news. If they so wish they can add (affiliated to the Irish Kennel Club) to their headings and logos; not bad going for an organisation only founded in 2004! And to illustrate how they intend to continue on “for the breed” their show on September 19th in Carlow will have a DNA clinic so that anybody interested will be able to get their dogs PRA tested at Bochum. Good going folks.
