Busy, busy weekend & Midland Counties closes today

It’s been a busy few days for Glen of Imaal Terrier people. At Darlington Championship Show it was a Romainville Double with Billy Whizz taking Best of Breed & Jean Genie Best Bitch. The two Reserves were Pajantick Star Trooper and Romainville Fade To Grey. The Dutch Glen Association held their Annual Champions Club Match with the BIS rosette being awarded to Billy Tow vom Au Deich with his daughter Fear Fiuntair Candy Keva Best Opposite so another double there. Reserve Dog & Bitch were McJake’s Angels’s Son Djuke & McJake’s Aivy. Carlow was another Best of Breed for Abberann Phelan and Abberann Reach For The Stars Ryanne was Best Bitch

The Irish Sporting Glen Club had their big weekend of showing, weight pulling etc. and have sent some nice photographs. Best In Show went to Stiubhard Hit the Road Jack at Ardgraigue with Stiubhard Bellatrix L’Estrange Best Bitch. They’ll be more coverage of their event on Friday as the judge promised her critique so hopefully it’ll be available by then. At the Danish Kennel Club International Show McCormac Setna Sithbacc took the Copenhagen Winners title with Bowler Hats Boggie Woogie taking home Best Bitch.

Over in America belated news of two Group 2s for Finnabair Double D Friend of a Friend at Evergreen Colorado Kennel Club back to back.Whilst across the country at Timberland KC Keadeen’s Sir Emmet Mingus Glas was taking BOB & Owner Handler Group 1 over Keadeen’s Second Star To The Right. South Shore Kennel Club saw Daulton’s Wild Night Galore take Best of Breed but the star of the day was Best Opposite Kilkenny’s Granite Glen Lily who was BOB Owner Handler, then took the Terrier Group Owner Handler and finally ended up as RBISOH! Friday at South Shore had Ber-D-Mar Sweet William O’Shea take the BOB rosette home with Kilkenny’s Granite Glen Rooney Best Bitch. Cape Cod KC was another BOB for Daulton’s Wild Night Galore and another BB for Kilkenny’s Granite Glen Rooney and this was repeated again on Sunday. Licking River Kennel Club (love that name) saw another Group Placement when BOB Daulton’s Rory took OH Group 3, Daulton’s Caoimhe of Pine Meadow was Best Opposite on the first day with another Owner Handler Group placement, this time 4, on the second day for Rory with Emerald Isle Keeley with Daulton taking Best Bitch. Greater Lafayette Kennel Club had, yet another, Glen getting the nod for a Group placement with Abberann Torcan getting Gp2.

All these fabulous awards deserve fabulous congratulations but the honour of the day has to go to Kylee. Owner Laura Trainor writes:-CH Rainbow Springs Kylee of Cnoc CD RE OAP OJP OFP CGCA has earned her Senior Barn Hunt title at the Central Bark trial in Central Square, NY. Not too bad for a 12 year old!

PGD (1)1 George’s Romainville Jazz Man, good head, dark eye, nice reach of neck, shoulders well laid back, nice depth of brisket, strong quarters, moved & showed well. RBD.

OD (2,1a)1 George’s Ch Romainville Billy Wizz, excellent type with good overall balance, has a lovely head & expression, good neck & shoulders, has a correct topline & tailset, strong loin & quarters, harsh coat, moved both free & easy. BD & BOB.

JB (1)1 George’s Romainville Maggie May, wheaten, has a pleasing head with a strong muzzle, typical front, shoulders well laid, good spring of rib, topline rising to the loin. BB.
