Quite a Weekend!

What a weekend Glen of Imaal TerrierĀ people have just been experienced!

In the UK Romainville Miss Moneypenny got her 3rd CC at South Wales Kennel Association and became the latest Bitch Champion. Best Dog there was Amhard Freebooter with Romainville Ellie taking Best Puppy. In Finland Gleann Queen Size Girl got her last CAC to become a Finnish Champion. Best of Breed at that show was Mudmax Muddy Waters. Sweden saw a very successful weekend for the MacNally Kennel woth Mac Nally Donelee taking Best of Breed one day and Mac Nally Dougal and MacNally Deidre both getting their Swedish Championships.

America saw the big Montgomery Cluster weekend that this year was made even more special by the inclusion of Morris & Essex. This show is only held every 5 years and is a throw back to the days of “proper”. Hats are worn and outfits are encouraged. There are exhibitions of memorablilia and it is considered a show so very worth a visit. Already it is possible to do so online. It was a superb weekend for Ch Coleraines Mandalay Royalty as she took Best of Breed at three out of the four shows and was Best Opposite Sex at Montgomery. At Montgomery Ch Rainbow Springs Dermot showed how some Glens just get better and better as he took Best of Breed at 10 years of age (after taking BOS at Morris and Essex and Hatboro). At Devon Ch Daulton’s Hunter Green was Best Opposite. There were new Champions and Grand Champions made and the whole weekend took place in very dog showing suitable weather to boot.
