Manchester have released the entry figures for their show. Terrier Day is January 18th and there will be 10 Glen of Imaal Terriers for judge Patsy Hollings. Glens are in the Sandylands Hall (Ring 1) and will not be judged before 11.00am. As there are 87 dogs-3 breeds-to be judged before us it will probably be quite a bit later.

Manchester closes today
Manchester Championship Show seriously extended their closing date and it won’t be extended again. So if you wished you’d entered it’s the last chance. Glen of Imaal Terriers are to be judged by Patsy Hollings and Terrier day is Friday January 18th.
Forward planning indeed.
Last week we did a “summer isn’t over yet”, this week the first Championship Show schedule of 2019! Manchester Championship Show schedule is now available on Higham Press. Terrier day is Friday 18th January and Glen of Imaal Terriers are to be judged by Patsy Hollings. Yes, you’re right, Patsy judged at this show two years ago but 2019 sees Challenge Certificates on offer.
Regret not entering Manchester?
Well you still have chance as they have extended their closing date (online only) until January 5th at 12 noon. Terrier Day is Thursday 19th and Glen of Imaal Terriers are to be judged by Patsy Hollings.
Manchester entries close today
Entries close midday today for Manchester Dog Show. Terrier Day is Thursday 19th January and the judge for Glen of Imaal Terriers is Patsy Hollings.
Cor blimey…..
Most people will be sitting down to read this and it’s a good job; Manchester schedules are now available!
They are obviously in the spirit of the Olympics and wanting to be first……with the longest notification of a show. Manchester Championship Dog Show starts on the 17th January 2017 and that is Terrier day. Glen of Imaal Terriers are to be judged by Patsy Hollings. Entries close 7th December but there will be a reminder then
Why THAT judge?
Patsy Hollings judged the recent first EFG Open Show and both exhibitors and other Glen judges have asked why? No problem at all with filling that information in for folks.
One of the most important things to any exhibitor at a Show is the judge but what should the judge be? Some people will only exhibit under breed specialists whilst others consider such judges “too political” and prefer all rounders. The EFG wants what their members want so, to the best of our ability, one year the Open Show will see an all-rounder (Patsy did pass the Glen of Imaal Terrier JDP with credit though) and the next year at least a terrier specialist if not a breed person.
and the numbers are….
The first Glen of Imaal Terrier Enthusiasts & Fanciers Club (EFG) Open Show is next Sunday. It’s Easter Sunday so would people come? The answer is yes with an entry of 26 for judge Patsy Hollings. With money (quite a bit), dog food (quite a lot), Easter eggs (a heck of a lot) and even an exhibitor draw everybody should go home with something. So if you want to see Glen of Imaal Terriers in a rather more relaxed setting than a Championship Show do visit the Sports Connexion, Ryton-On-Dunsmore, CV8 3FL Sunday morning. As it’s also Birmingham Gundog & Terrier you can get to see quite a few other breeds as well.
Everything is now in the diary (hopefully)
Leeds Championship Show snail mail entries closed yesterday and thank you for the reminders that it wasn’t mentioned. Online entries close on June 14th so there is still time. Patsy Hollings is judging Glen of Imaal Terriers and they are on Saturday 24th July.
