South Wales closes on Monday & it’s also a “date” for Montgomery.
Online entries close for South Wales Kennel Association on Monday. The show is 7-9th October. Terrier Day is Saturday 8th and Glen of Imaal Terriers will be judged by Jeff Horswell.
If you are going to the Montgomery Cluster you only have until Monday to reserve a room at the host hotel, the Residence Inn by Marriott Montgomeryville, (there is the GITCA National Specialty there plus a weekend of shows in eastern PA). There is a block of rooms under “Glen of Imaal Terrier Club” at $129/night including breakfast. There is a one time pet fee of $50.

South Wales Kennel Association, terrier day Sunday 13th October,Glen of Imaal Terrier judge Jean Rogers, closes online today and they have said they WILL NOT be extending entries. Midland Counties closes snail mail today. Jamie Sage is the Glen judge there and terrier day is Friday 25th.
Oh yes and as the 2014 Judges List got a comment regarding breed judges (Hurrah!!) the poster will surely be pleased to see two breed people down to judge in one post!
Two new Champions
South Wales Kennel Association, judged by Peter Bakewell, saw Barney (Ch & Bel Ch Brockland Brayhead Lad) add to his CC & BOB total. Bitch CC went to Winni and as that was her third she can now be known as Champion Winnie Wanna Make Music By Jeonty. Whelped in April 2010 by Johnny Be Good at Romainville out of Jeonty Red Clover she is a first Champion for breeder Linda Samuel and the youngest KC Champion to date. The two Reserves were Jeonty Wanabee Bauer and Jeonty Maybe Daysee
Montgomery weekend was quite a weekend for Curry (GCH Coleraine’s Mandalay Royalty) as she took Best of Breed at all four shows, the first time there has been a clean sweep in Glen of Imaal Terriers at that event. Fergus (GCH Cill Dara’s Fergus of Daulton) was Best Opposite at Hatboro 1 & 2 and Montgomery. Devon saw newly crowned Champion Finnabair Ardmore Ned (Ch Malsville Soldier Blue/GCH Finnabair Fiona The Wicked) take Best Opposite. A great weekend and many congratulations to all

There are 16 Glen of Imaal Terriers entered for judge Peter Bakewell at South Wales. Terrier Day is October 9th and Glens are in at 10.00am.
After judging there will be a short (ish) get together at the benches. The bread pudding is already seeping-can you think of a finer way to pat ourselves on the back following the Charitable Trust letter!

It’s a show day
Welsh Kennel Club is this weekend with Glen of Imaal Terriers being judged tomorrow by Mel Hardy who has an entry of 19.
South Wales Kennel Association Show postal entries close this weekend. The judge for Glens is Fran Kaye and terrier Day is Friday 8th October.
Limerick was show number three on the Irish Circuit and there was another different Best of Breed. This time the honour went to Int Ch Abberann Conan with the Bitch Green Star being awarded to Swedish & Slovenian Champion Abberann Tiffany.
Belfast Championship Show online entries close this weekend. Terrier day is September 25th and the Glen of Imaal Terrier judge is Jeff Horswell

GLEN OF IMAAL TERRIERS
PD: 1) Amhard Freebooter, promising blue, good length to head, correct bite, correct typical front, good body proportions with slight rise, moved with drive, should do well.
JD: 1) Jeonty Wannabe Bauer, wheaten, good head shape, strong muzzle, good rear angulation, excellent coat, covered the ground well. 2) Jeonty Dinky Doughnut, wheaten smaller than 1, pleasing head & eye, moved very well. 3) Kenocto Chief’s Song.
PGD: 1) Romainville Typhoon, very good head shape, correct bite, excellent typical front, very good body proportions, in excellent muscletone, moved out well. RBD. 2) Donvaleset Rebus, good width to head, correct stop, excellent front, would prefer better rear angulation. Moved steadily. 3) Brockland Blackadder at Malsville
LD: 1) Johnny Be Good at Romainville, wheaten, pleasing head shape, would prefer darker eye, moved with drive.
OD: 1) Ch & Bel Ch Brockland Brayhead Lad, blue, excellent head shape, well set eyes, ample neck, excellent body proportions, in very good muscletone, good coat & moved out so well. BD, CC, BOB. 2) Ch/Bel/NL Ch Jeonty Wannabe Buster. Would prefer more width to skull & stronger muzzle. Pleasing body shape, moved steadily.
JB: 1) Romainville Rags N Tatters, good head, dark well placed eye, correct front, slight rise over loin, moved steadily.
PGB: 1) Amhard Extra Spice, wheaten, good for size, strong jaw, correct bite, good body proportions, moved and showed well. RBB. 2) Romainville Alli Oop, liked this wheaten really much & has all the qualities to do well but didn’t put all in. 3) Donvalest Domino
LD: 1) Romainville Miss Money Penny, wheaten, excellent head shape & pigment, dark well set eyes, strong loin, very good hindquarters, good fett, moved freely to BB and RCC.
OD: 1) Amhard Cut & Come Again, blue. Would prefer more length to head, excellent body shape. Would prefer stronger pasterns. Excellent rear angulation & moved with drive.
