Quite a bit to catch up on!

Best Bitch at the show was My dear Fellow Cordula the Angel. In Prague My dear Fellow Bealtaine de Coco took Best of Breed with My dear Fellow Cordula the Angel Best Opposite. At another show in the Czech Republic My dear Fellow Clärchen the Angel  was Best of Breed. In Sweden (Vasteras) Marfidal Pleasant Surprise was Best of Breed and Marfidal Up To Your Ears-great name- was taking a short holiday in Serbia & Estonia and was rewarded with BOB at each. Tampere Nordic Show was a triumph for Gleann Flatbone Stiubhard with BOS being awarded to Pearytail Candy McCoy. He did it again on the Sunday Show with Gleann Una Noonan being awarded Best Bitch. At WELKS Romainville Billy Wizz was Best of Breed with Sigrid Helga at Pant Cottage Best Bitch, Jeonty Glynis Making Magic for Zippor was Best Puppy

Bucks County KC saw Ber-D-Mar Sweet William O’Shea get the nod for BOB whilst at Fort St Clair KC it was Kilkenny’s Middleton Irish Spirit.

Brains were busy as well as beauty. Eili earned her Novice Barn Hunt RATN & Jeff Dairiki’s news is that Ciarán and Quinn each earned their Barn Hunt RATCHX4 titles and there is news of “Pepper”. She was running FastCat at Brevard KC and earned her BCAT title. The Brains round up is always done with call names but registered names are liked for the first mention so Pepper….who are you?

A bit quieter this weekend

The weekend before December and for many it’s the start of Christmas Shopping but some Glen of Imaal Terrier people are still out and about. The Glen Association Championship Show was judged by Ann Quinn and it was certainly worth the long trip for the Whites. Best In Show was awarded to Abberann Conan who also took Best Veteran (our oldies are having a ball at the moment) with Best Opposite Sex going to Daulton’s Midnight Sky of Galore. Best Puppy was “Conan’s boy” Abberann Cosmic Cowboy. The two Reserves were Rollo The Great and Donvaleset Brier, who is also a Veteran. The first one saw Highlander’s Dream Casper take BOB with Gleann Una Noonan Best Bitch. The results were reversed on Day 2 with Una Noonan being awarded BOB with Dream Casper Best Opposite.

Just a couple of shows reporting in from America. At Agathon Kennel Club Tipperary American Girl was Best of Breed and Daulton’s Captain Jack of Roseglen was Best Dog. At the second Agathon show American Girl again triumphed, plus OHG4, with Daulton’s Sailor John of Roseglen getting Best Opposite.

Griffin was adding to his alphabet of titles as he obtained his Excellent Jumpers with Weaves so he needs a lot of room now for a full shout out- Champion Ber-D-Mar Ballygriffin of Greystone BN RE NAP OJP JE CAX BCAT RATO CGCA TKP AJP

Well done all.

Glen owners just go on and on.

Glen of Imaal Terrier owners just keep going on and on in showing the world how good our breed is.

Can’t recollect a Romanian result before and as for calling it the Dracula Show…….it was seven Best of Breeds and a Grand Romanian Championship for Pearytail Bonnie B Goode. In Finland Porvoo All Breed Show was a BOB for Meomodo Boho’s Trick or Treat with Best Opposite Sex going to Marfidal Santa Baby. London & Home Counties Terrier saw Kirikee Celtic Warrior take home the big rosette.

A couple of late results from last week. The St Clairsville KC Cluster ended with Tipperary American Girl taking another Best of Breed and OHG2 with Daulton’s Wild Night of Galore Best Dog. Gleann Holy Hannah took a Group 3 and Best Puppy in Group in Canad and then followed it on with another 3 x Best Puppy in Group this weekend plus a Group 4. Finnabair Double D Friend of a Friend was in Oklahoma and added two Group 4s to his increasing tally. Souhegan Kennel Club was a Best of Breed for Briarhill Beatrice. Kilkenny’s Across The Universe to Setanta had an excellent weekend at back to back shows in Des Moines, Iowa with a Group 1 & 3. Why is she with a Dachshund in the photograph? Theresa owns it as well and it took BIS so two for her in the Group ring…nice one indeed!

The Barn Hunt aficionados were having a ball.  Tipperary Ballyfinboy Liam of Cnoc qualified in Instinct & Novice. Keadeen Sir Emmet Mingus Glas gained the last qualifier to get his Open title and then did his first Senior run and earned his first qualifier. Brains and beauty boys.

Congratulations to all

September starts with a swing

It’s rather nice to start September with a Group 1 and Best In Show3 for a Glen of Imaal Terrier. Gleann Indico Indy did it at Kihnio Puppy Show! Rosears Master of the House took Best of Breed in Estonia which gave him an Estonian & Latvian Junior Championship. In Germany Gleann Holly at Spirit of Ireland took her 2nd BOB on her second trip out.

Over in America a group of shows in Kentucky saw Kilkenny’s Across the Universe at Setanta take all 4 Best of Breeds with Keadeen’s Sir Emmet Mingus Glas taking Best Dog each time and also an OHG2. Beaver County KC was a win for Tipperary American Girl with Daulton’s Wild Night of Galore, Best Opposite. At St Clairesville (Ohio) Kennel Club Daulton’s Wild Night of Galore was BOB & OHG3 with Tipperary American Girl Best Bitch. American Girl repeated her BOB at Fort Steuben Kennel Association with a OHG4 with Wild Night taking Best Dog. Up in Canada Gleann Holy Hannah took a Group 4 and Best Puppy In Group

Liam (Tipperary Ballyfinboy Liam of Cnoc) showed his “brains” by qualifying twice in Instinct for Earthdog whilst Quinn showed how good he his and obtained his Senior Earthdog!!

It was the inaugural Southern Glen Walk and Lynne Fraser sends the following.”Delighted to say that we had 10 Glens and their people who joined us for a walk on the Racecourse. It was lovely to meet in person so many people I have met through Glens on facebook and for them to meet each other, I feel that strong friendships have been formed. Everyone was very kind and we have decided that next time we would like to find a village hall in the area and have a ‘Glen gathering’ for those who would like to come.  I think that another Glen walk will definitely be in order! Thank you to everyone who came and to all the Glens for being well behaved!

Great weekend indeed everybody!!

Let’s hear it for everybody

Glen of Imaal Terrier folk certainly believe in getting the breed out there. A weekend in Kentucky for Finnabair Double D Friend of a Friend results in a full set of Group placements, one through to four. Tipperary American Girl took a couple of days in Ohio and took home 2x Group 4 and one OHG2. Newtown Kennel Club saw Kilkenny’s Best of My Love take Best of Breed. Elm City KC was a BOB for Kilkenny’s Granite Glen Rooney (and an OHG4) and she also took it at Ox Ridge KC.

Over in Europe it was the big Terri-Eri 2017 in Finland where Gleann Curvy Corvette took BOB with brother Cotton Cody Best Dog.  Tervakoski All Breed saw Glenrosedale Buagh Ri Arthur Milo triumph in the breed whilst Rosears Master of The House was BOB at Mantyharju Show and picked up a very nice Group 4. Gleann Holly at Spirit of Ireland took BOB at Ahlen in Germany. Unfortunately no Glens were entered on the Irish circuit, such a shame.

Keeping up

Glen of Imaal Terrier people keep on going right throughout the summer…that may or may not arrive in the UK.

Haapavesi Group Show was a triumph for Gleann Flatbone Stiubhard took Best of Breed and Group 4-not a usual occurrence in Europe. Best Opposite Sex was Pearytail Cruella de Gleann which earned her her Finnish Championship. Pearytail Candy McCoy added  Lithuanian Champion to her name when she was BOB there. Valkeakoski All Breed Show saw Meomodo Boho’s Trick or Treat take BOB, and earn his first CAC from his first time in the Junior class. Over in Ireland Abberann Reach For The Stars Ryanne took Best of Breed at Dun Laoghaire.

In America at Beaver County KC Tipperary American Girl was Best of Breed and at Columbian County KC Daulton’s Wild Night of Galore was Best of Breed. Fabulous news indeed of Keadeen Sir Emmet Mingus Glas who is now in the top 30 IN THE COUNTRY of the AKC Owner Handler Series. News That there now is a Canadian Champion Glen and that honour of the first made up goes to Abberann Phelan.

The “brains” department is well represented by Ginny who earned her RATO (Open Barn Hunt) title and was so fast she came in first.

Finally a reminder of the Dutch Glen Games on the 16th & 17th September. If anybody fancies a weekend away you’ll be very, very welcome!
