It’s today!

Westminster Terrier Day is today, Glen of Imaal Terriers are on at 11.00am so with the 5 hour time difference results and streaming should be available from around 4.00pm UK time.

Streaming is available from quite a few sources but the most reliable if you are this side of the pond is probably the AKC.tv channel on You Tube and there are also links on Westminster website. The Breed results can be found here so have a great show anybody participating at Westminster or just visiting and remember we need pictures! Whilst waiting for the Glen results take a look at this. Yes, it’s the Hound Group but the Standard Long taking Group 1 is co-owned by Theresa Nesbitt, the American arm of Abberann so congratulations to her.

Westminster put the catalogue online so below are the Glens you’ll be seeing. Finnabair Double D Friend of a Friend is not competing and neither is Gleann Damn Daisy

Getting ready for Westminster

Westminster Kennel Club is the 11th/12th February and is usually broadcast online. Glen of Imaal Terriers are in more than the breed exhibition ring though as Laura Trainor writes:-

“The Westminster Agility competition will be live streamed on the Westminster website on Sat Feb 9th.  Niamh will be competing in the 8″ Preferred class.  In the past they have only videoed one ring – Jumpers With Weaves.  Niamh’s JWW run will be sometime in the 10 – 11 AM New York time range.”

The Glen breed competition will be on Tues Feb 12th in Ring 3 at 11 AM.  This will also be live streamed on the website.

Welcome back!

Finnegan (Rainbow Springs Wicklow’s Warrior of Ber-D-Mar) starts off the 2013 season. The boy was being taken after his second Westminster Best of Breed when, rather than the traditional shot, he suddenly sat up. The photographer, and New York Times editor, were so taken with the Glen of Imaal Terrier sit that it was featured on the  back page of NY Times Sports section!

Quite a lot of news was sent in January, new working titles and a Best Veteran in Show being the most exciting, and we’re ready for lots more. As we often say the EFG blog exists for you so the new email of malsville@rbt-int.com is ready anything you think will be of interest to fellow Glen people.
